RFID hotel key card is a hotel access card that uses radio frequency identification technology (RFID). It is a contactless smart card equipped with an integrated circuit chip and antenna that can communicate with the hotel access control system. The chip is embedded with a memory chip that can store information about room numbers, check-in date and time, and more.
When a hotel guest checks in, the front desk staff will enter the guest's personal information into the system and issue the guest an RFID hotel card. This keycard will be associated with the guest's room number. When guests arrive at their room door, they simply hold the RFID key card close to the door lock's card reader. The card reader will read the information on the key card and compare it with the hotel door lock system. If the match is successful, the door lock will unlock and the guest can enter the room.
