Innovative pig insurance in Yunan County, Yunfu, Guangdong protects the healthy development of the pig industry

Recently, under the professional guidance of the Yunan County Agriculture and Rural Bureau and the Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Department, China Property & Casualty Insurance Yunfu Central Branch successfully piloted the application of "animal electronic chip" technology to carry out precision underwriting of pig breeding insurance.

According to the relevant person in charge of China Property & Casualty Insurance, the "animal electronic chip" can intelligently record the identity information of live pigs, and each live pig has a traceable "electronic ID card". Compared with traditional ear tags, the electronic chip is easy to operate, accurate in marking, traceable, and more wear-resistant, which can provide farmers with more convenient underwriting and claim services and reduce business risks.
