Choose the Right RFID Chip

The chip must match the reader and system already in use. If available, send us the reader model, current key tag sample or required chip before ordering. If these details are not available, tell us how the tag will be used and we can suggest options for sample testing.

Common Questions

Are RFID epoxy key tags fully waterproof?

Yes. The chip and antenna are sealed inside the PVC body, and the finished tag is suitable for normal immersion environments. 

Can an NFC phone read the tag?

Yes, when the tag contains a compatible NFC chip such as an NTAG option. Phone compatibility does not automatically mean that the same chip will work with an existing door access system.

Will the tag work with my current reader?

That depends on the frequency, chip and data format required by the reader. Send us the reader model, an existing tag or the chip specification if available. 

Can every RFID key tag carry different information?

Yes. Each tag can have a different UID, encoded record, QR code, barcode or printed number. These records can be matched individually and supplied in a data file.

Can you produce a custom shape?

Yes. The length, width, thickness, outline and hole can be customized. All finished designs use rounded corners to provide a smoother edge.
