Choosing an RFID animal ear tag starts with the animal type existing reader and identification requirements. The tag size color and printed number come after these basic compatibility questions have been confirmed. We manufacture waterproof TPU RFID ear tags for cattle sheep goats pigs and other livestock. Available structures include round RFID button tags large visual ear tags and combined male and female tag sets. For standard animal identification projects 134.2 kHz FDX B and HDX options are available. UHF ear tags can be supplied for projects that require batch reading or a longer reading range. Custom 125 kHz and 13.56 MHz versions are also available for compatible systems.

500Custom RFID Animal Ear Tags for Livestock Identification and Traceability
Custom waterproof RFID animal ear tags for cattle sheep goats pigs and other livestock. LF FDX B HDX and UHF options with printing encoding and data matching services.
Best For
Cattle Identification: RFID and clearly printed visual numbers help farms identify individual cattle during feeding weighing breeding treatment and movement checks.
Sheep and Goat Identification: Smaller tag structures can be selected according to the animal size required visual area and existing applicator.
Pig Identification: Waterproof TPU tags provide both electronic and visible identification for breeding inventory and movement records.
Feeding and Weighing Stations: The tag can provide a unique electronic identity when an animal approaches a compatible feeding weighing or sorting reader.
Livestock Movement and Traceability: The RFID number can be matched with a printed animal number barcode or QR code for use with the customer's livestock records and traceability system.

134.2 kHz FDX B |
Standard individual livestock identification and close range reading |
Confirm ISO requirements animal number format and reader compatibility |
|
134.2 kHz HDX |
Animal identification systems that specifically use HDX readers and transponders |
Confirm the existing reader supports HDX |
|
UHF 860 to 960 MHz |
Batch identification sorting movement checks and applications requiring a longer reading range |

Custom 13.56 MHz |
Special HF projects using a compatible reader or application |
Produced according to the required chip tag structure and order design |
The correct frequency should be selected according to the customer’s reader and local identification requirements. Different RFID versions do not work with the same reader simply because they are installed in a similar ear tag body.

Ear Tag Structure and Installation
The standard structure uses a male tag and female tag that lock together through the animal’s ear. The RFID module may be encapsulated inside a round button tag or a larger visual tag. Different combinations are available depending on the animal reader applicator and required marking area. Once correctly installed the tag cannot be opened and removed intact for reuse. It can still be cut off when replacement is necessary. This one time locking structure helps prevent intact tags from being transferred between animals but should not be described as impossible to remove.
Compatible ear tag applicators can be supplied. If the customer already has an applicator a photo model number or sample can be provided so that the male pin female tag and applicator fit can be checked before production. Tag placement and installation should be completed by trained personnel in accordance with local animal welfare and livestock identification requirements.
Common Questions
Which RFID ear tag is most common for livestock identification?
A 134.2 kHz FDX B or HDX ear tag is commonly selected for standardized individual animal identification. The correct option depends on the reader local regulations and livestock identification program.
Can UHF ear tags read several animals at the same time?
Compatible UHF systems can identify multiple tags within the reader field. The actual result depends on the tag model reader antenna installation animal movement and environment. On site sample testing is required before confirming performance.
Can I use my existing animal ear tag applicator?
Possibly. Applicator compatibility depends on the male pin female tag and locking structure. Send us the applicator model photo or an existing tag sample and we can check the suitable structure.
Can an installed ear tag be reused?
No. The standard male and female closure is intended for one time installation. The tag can be cut off but cannot be removed intact and installed on another animal.
Can you match the RFID number with the visible number?
Yes. The chip number or encoded animal ID can be matched with the laser number QR code barcode and corresponding male or female tag number.
Can you provide official animal identification numbers?
We can program customer provided numbers and produce supported 15 digit animal identification formats. Whether a number is valid for an official national program depends on the authorized country or manufacturer code local regulations and selected product approval. These requirements must be confirmed before production.
Does the ear tag track the animal’s location or health?
No. A passive RFID ear tag provides an electronic identity when it is read by compatible equipment. It does not contain GPS and does not independently monitor location health or behavior.
Do you provide farm management software?
No. We supply the physical RFID ear tags printing programming data files and compatible applicators. Livestock databases farm management platforms readers and tracking software are not included.
