Common Questions
Which wood should I choose?
Choose by the look you want. Bamboo is light, black walnut is dark and formal, while cherry, maple, birch, beech and sapele offer different tones and grain.
Which chip works with smartphones?
NTAG213, NTAG215 and NTAG216 are common choices for opening a website, contact page or other NDEF content on NFC-enabled phones.
Will the wooden card work with our hotel lock?
We have produced cards for VingCard, Visionline, Vostio, Onity, Dormakaba/Saflok, SALTO and other systems.
What thickness should I choose?
The right choice depends on the card structure. A thinner card may be easier for some slot-type readers, while a thicker card has a more substantial feel.
Can you supply blank and pre-encoded cards?
Yes. Cards can be blank, written with a URL or NDEF record, or pre-encoded for a compatible hotel or access system.
Can every QR code, barcode or serial number be different?
Yes. We can print or engrave variable data and match it with the card UID or encoded data when required. A corresponding data file can also be prepared.
Are wooden RFID cards waterproof?
A protective coating is available to help with moisture and daily surface wear.
Can I place a small trial order?
Yes. We support different order quantities, from small trial orders to volume production.
Can I test a free sample first?
Yes. Stock samples are free of charge. You only need to cover the courier cost. For system compatibility, tell us which chip, lock or reader you want to test.
