How to Select the Right Tag

Different hard UHF on metal tags may use similar chips but they do not provide the same performance. The housing size antenna design mounting position and reader configuration all affect the final result.

A larger tag normally provides more space for the antenna and may support better reading performance. A smaller model may be necessary when the asset has limited mounting space. Long range performance is available with suitable tag models and UHF chips.

Hard Tags and Flexible On Metal Labels

Hard UHF on metal tags use ABS PCB or another rigid housing. They are usually selected when the asset requires screw mounting stronger physical protection or resistance to industrial operating conditions. Flexible UHF on metal labels are thinner and provide a larger printable surface. They are generally more suitable for IT assets cabinets and equipment where space is limited and adhesive installation is preferred.

Can you guarantee a fixed reading distance?

Reading distance cannot be guaranteed from the chip alone. It depends on the complete tag design reader antenna installation position and operating environment. We recommend confirming the requirement through sample testing.

Which frequency version should I choose?

The correct frequency version depends mainly on the destination country and reader. European US and global versions are available.

Can you customize the tag dimensions?

Yes. Multiple existing models are available and the dimensions housing shape color and mounting structure can also be customized. A new mold may be required for a completely new housing.

Are all models IP68?

Waterproof models up to IP68 are available but the exact protection level depends on the selected housing and sealing structure. Please provide the operating conditions before the model is confirmed.
