Avery Dennison Brings RFID Technology to Berlinale

The Berlinale, one of the most influential and leading international film festivals in the world today, opened on the evening of February 16, local time as scheduled. And visitors to the Berlinale will be able to enjoy a unique shopping experience: Armanibeauty has opened a cashier-less flash store in the heart of Berlin's Potsdamer Platz. Between February 16 and 26, 2023, fans and passersby will be able to test and purchase a wide range of fragrances and makeup products in a highly personalized and convenient facility.

This is the second time Armani beauty has partnered with payfree and Avery Dennison to implement an RFID-based checkout. in November 2022, they presented their cashierless flash concept store in Düsseldorf, a first for the beauty sector, which received rave reviews from customers and industry experts. avery Dennison's specialized RFID tags enable beauty retail to fully benefit from the use of RFID and its many advantages. All items are automatically identified and paid for contactlessly via a payment card or digital wallet.
