Our UHF RFID clip tag is designed for reusable identification and inventory tracking of books, files, document folders, packages, and other compatible items. Operating at 860–960 MHz, the tag supports long-range, bulk RFID reading while allowing QR codes, barcodes, serial numbers, logos, and EPC data to be customized according to your project requirements. Unlike adhesive RFID labels, this UHF RFID clip tag uses a mechanical clip structure for removable and reusable attachment.

500UHF RFID Clip Tag for Books, Files and Reusable Inventory Tracking
The tag combines UHF RFID identification with visible QR codes, barcodes, or serial numbers. Multiple tagged items can be read in batches using a compatible UHF RFID reader, while the printed information allows staff to perform visual checks or barcode scanning when required. The plastic housing protects the RFID inlay during repeated handling and can be customized with logos, variable numbers, QR codes, barcodes, and chip encoding.
Key Features
Reusable Clip-On Structure
The mechanical clip can be opened, attached, removed, and used again. It provides an alternative to permanent adhesive labels for applications that require temporary or transferable RFID identification.
Long-Range UHF RFID Reading
Operating at 860–960 MHz, the clip tag supports non-contact RFID reading at distances of up to 4 meters under suitable test conditions. Multiple tags can be identified during the same inventory operation. Actual reading distance depends on the reader, antenna, output power, tag orientation, installation material, and surrounding environment.
RFID and Visual Identification
The surface can be printed with a QR code, barcode, UID, serial number, or other variable information. RFID data and printed codes can be configured according to the customer’s identification system.
Industrial-Grade Plastic Housing
The RFID inlay is enclosed in a rigid plastic housing designed for repeated handling. Its integrated clip structure keeps the tag attached to compatible books, folders, packages, and inventory items.
Custom Printing and Encoding
We support custom logos, QR codes, barcodes, sequential numbers, EPC encoding, and customer-supplied data. A matching relationship between the printed code and RFID EPC can also be created when specified before production.

How Does the UHF RFID Clip Tag Work?
The clip is opened and attached to a compatible edge, cover, folder, package, or designated fixing position. Each tag contains an individual RFID identifier that can be linked to the corresponding item record in the customer’s inventory-management system. During inventory counting, a UHF RFID reader sends radio-frequency signals to the tags. The passive tags receive energy from the reader and return their EPC data without requiring a battery. The printed QR code, barcode, or serial number provides an additional identification method for visual verification or individual scanning. When required, the tag can be removed and reassigned to another item.
Why Choose Our UHF RFID Clip Tags?
Our UHF RFID clip tags combine removable attachment, reusable construction, long-range RFID identification, and customizable visual codes in one compact product. Compared with ordinary adhesive RFID labels, the clip structure is better suited to projects where tags need to be removed, transferred, or reused. We also provide printing and encoding services to help customers connect the physical tag with their inventory database. Before bulk production, our team can help confirm the chip, RFID frequency, EPC format, printed-code format, installation position, and required data-matching relationship.
FAQ
1. Is this UHF RFID clip tag reusable?
Yes. The mechanical clip can be opened and attached again, making the tag suitable for reusable and temporary identification applications.
2. What items can the clip tag be attached to?
It is designed for compatible books, file folders, document bags, packages, and general inventory items. The actual attachment position and material thickness should be tested before bulk production.
3. What is the maximum reading distance?
The reading distance is up to 4 meters under suitable conditions. Actual performance depends on the reader, antenna, output power, installation material, tag orientation, and operating environment.
4. Can a smartphone read this RFID clip tag?
No. This is a UHF RFID product and normally requires a compatible UHF RFID reader. Standard smartphones generally cannot read UHF RFID tags directly.
5. Can you print our logo and serial numbers?
Yes. We support custom logos, QR codes, barcodes, UID numbers, sequential serial numbers, and other variable information.
6. Can the printed QR code match the RFID EPC?
Yes. We can create a matching relationship between the printed QR code, visible serial number, and RFID EPC according to your data format. Please confirm the required coding rules before production.
7. Can you encode the RFID chip before shipment?
Yes. EPC encoding and customer-specified data encoding are available. Please provide the encoding file, data format, numbering rules, and lock requirements before production.
8. Is the clip tag waterproof or washable?
The current product information does not specify an IP rating or industrial-washing test. Please inform us of the intended environment so that we can confirm whether the tag is suitable for your application.
9. Can it be attached directly to metal items?
This is not a dedicated on-metal RFID tag. Direct contact with metal may reduce or prevent RFID reading. Sample testing is recommended for applications involving metal surfaces.
10. What information should I provide for a quotation?
Please provide the required quantity, destination country, chip requirement, installation object, logo or printing design, QR code or serial-number requirements, EPC encoding format, and packaging requirements.
