Custom RFID cable tie tags combine a self-locking cable tie with an enclosed RFID module. They provide electronic identification and a visible physical seal in one product, making them useful for assets that cannot easily carry a conventional card or adhesive label. The standard disposable design is tightened around the selected item and must be cut or visibly damaged for removal. HF NFC and UHF versions are available as separate product options. Standard models and customized sizes colors chips printing and encoding services are available for project orders.

500Custom Disposable RFID Cable Tie Tags for Asset Identification and Sealing
Custom disposable RFID cable tie tags with HF NFC or UHF chips for asset identification logistics bags containers equipment and tamper evident sealing. Printing encoding and variable data services are available.
Best For
Logistics Containers and Transport Assets
Attach an RFID cable tie tag to container doors cages cases or handling equipment when both electronic identification and a physical closure are required.
Bags Sacks and Bulk Materials
The flexible tail can pass through handles loops and closing points on textile bags bulk bags agricultural sacks and other packaged materials.
Cables Pipes and Irregular Shaped Assets
Cable tie installation works well on items that are curved narrow or unsuitable for a flat adhesive RFID label.
Waste Bins and Maintenance Equipment
RFID cable ties can identify bins tools mobile equipment and service assets for collection inspection maintenance or inventory records.
Asset Sealing and Identification
A unique chip number printed serial number QR code or barcode can be assigned to each tag for traceability and visual checking.

Using RFID Cable Tie Tags Around Metal
A cable tie tag can be attached around a metal pipe container cage or piece of equipment. However this does not automatically make the RFID module an anti-metal tag. If a standard RFID head rests directly against metal its reading performance may be reduced. Whenever possible the RFID head should be positioned away from the metal surface. The final reading result depends on the chip antenna reader orientation surrounding material and installation position.
Sample testing with the actual asset and reader is recommended. If direct installation against metal is unavoidable a dedicated anti-metal RFID tag may be more suitable.
Common Questions
Are NFC and UHF included in the same cable tie tag?
Normally they are separate versions. NFC works at close range with compatible smartphones or HF readers while UHF is used with UHF equipment for longer range identification. Tell us which reader or system you use and we can recommend the suitable version.
Can the cable tie tag be reused?
The standard product promoted on this page uses a disposable self-locking cable tie. It must be cut or damaged for removal and is not intended for transfer between assets.
Is it a high security seal?
It provides visible tamper evidence and RFID identification. It should not be described as a certified high security seal unless a specific model has the required certification and test documentation.
Can the tag be attached to metal equipment?
Yes the cable tie can be installed around many metal assets but the RFID head should not be assumed to work like an anti-metal tag. Testing with the actual asset and reader is recommended.
Can every tag have different printed and electronic data?
Yes. UID or TID data encoded information serial numbers QR codes and barcodes can be matched individually when the required data rules are confirmed before production.
Can you provide blank tags?
Yes. Tags can be supplied blank or with factory printing encoding and data matching services.
What information is needed for a quotation?
Please send the application quantity frequency or chip requirement preferred dimensions color printing or numbering requirements and delivery country. If available also provide the reader model a current tag sample and photos of the installation point.
Do you provide RFID management software?
No. We supply the physical RFID cable tie tags printing and encoding. Asset management logistics access control and other software systems are not included.
